Railtrack begin bridge repairsaprilfool

As part of Railtrack’s work to celebrate Brunel 200, the giant arches that hold the towers in place are being refurbished and repaired. Railtrack expect the work to take 3 - 4 weeks and hope that the bridge does not fall down whilst the work is being carried out. A spokesman for Network Rail explained that to reduce risk to the people of Saltash that trains will no longer stop at Saltash Railway Station. If it proves unpopular then this could be made permanent!
